Where can I buy FryLight?

FryLight is available at supermarkets including Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrison’s. Stir Fry and Butter varieties are only available at Tesco.

The oil comes out a creamy colour, is that right?

Yes. FryLight is an emulsion and should look cream in colour.

Does FryLight contain hydrogenated fats?

No. The oil used in FryLight is either Sunflower Oil or Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

The ingredients contain alcohol - why?

A small amount of alcohol is used to help preserve the product. The alcohol is completely removed when heated (by evaporation) during cooking.

The pump isn't spraying, what should I do?

When new the spray head needs quite a few pumps to get going - up to 10 times is not unusual. If the problem persists, unscrew the spray head and run the whole thing under hot water for about 3 minutes, replace and try again.

If you have a bottle that has been used previously, try turning the spray head button to face in the opposite direction and try again. This will mean the curved delivery pipe is rotated hopefully into a better position to feed the lower fill level of the oil.

If these steps fail, please contact us for a new spray head or a refund.

Should I spray FryLight on a hot or cold pan?

FryLight should be sprayed onto your pan etc BEFORE heating - and if possible you should use a little less heat than you would with normal oil.

Can I use FryLight in baking?

Yes. Where possible, line bakeware with tin foil, spray with FryLight and use this surface for baking. Make sure that unlined tins are thoroughly sprayed.

Do I need to line bakeware?

We recommend lining bakeware with tin foil and spraying this with FryLight.

Can I use it for roasting Potatoes?

Yes. Take potatoes, skin on or off, cut into pieces. Spray/line baking tray or tin well. Spray all potatoes and turn to ensure all surfaces are sprayed. Roast as normal. Turn halfway through cooking and respray potatoes to ensure a crispy surface.

How many sprays should I use?

The amount of sprays you use depends what you are cooking or frying. For a 10" frying pan we would recommend 4-6 sprays, evenly placed so that the surface is well covered. As long as you have used sufficient sprays to cover the cooking surface before heating, you should get a good result.

Is FryLight suitable for children?

Yes. FryLight does not contain any ingredients that are unsuitable for children in any way at all.

Your product contains Lecithin - what is it?

The Sunflower Lecithin is a product derived from Sunflower seed and gives the product its non-stick property. It is not composed from chemicals.

Is FryLight suitable for vegetarians/vegans?

Yes. FryLight contains no animal or dairy products. The Butter variety has Butter flavouring from a non-dairy source.

Is FryLight Kosher?

FryLight can be considered Kosher as it contains no animal product, byproduct or dairy products.

My pan became too hot and I cannot get the burnt oil off my pan:

If FryLight has been used under extremel hot conditions, it can leave dark marks, like any oil.

The best way to remove these marks is by using an oven cleaner product. Be sure to observe all precautions that come with the cleaning product.
